Born and raised in Lower Hutt, Stephen is a local New Zealander who is excited to be back working in the beautiful Queenstown region. Graduating with a BDS in 2019, Stephen worked in private practice in the Wellington region for 2 years before returning to the Dental School in Dunedin as a Dental/Oral and Maxillofacial House Surgeon in 2022. His love of surgery lead him to complete a Postgraduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Surgery), which he achieved with Distinction in 2023. While Stephen enjoys the challenges and variety that general dental practice possesses, he is particularly fond of surgical dental procedures, including surgical wisdom teeth removal, surgical tooth exposures, crown lengthening surgeries, and implantology. He enjoys a collaborative approach to dentistry, working with colleagues to help patients achieve the dental goals. Outside the dental clinic, Stephen is happiest exploring the beautiful New Zealand outdoors, and is an avid whitewater kayaker, mountain biker, skier, and novice surfer.
